The 6G trial arcs are persistent optical effects centred on experimental antenna sites. Nine operating sites across four countries have produced the effects since May 14th; thirty-one further sites are scheduled before January.[1]
Geometry
The arcs form complete circles visible from street level. Widely separated observers photograph the same arc in the same position. Their centres remain on the antennas rather than following the observer or the antisolar point.
Biological effects
Navigation failure is recorded among nearby birds. A count beneath the Groningen mast found 1,900 birds circling without leaving. Human observers continue to see the arcs with closed eyes for intervals from forty minutes to nine hours.
Expansion submission
Both effects appear in an annex to the application for the next thirty-one sites. The arcs themselves are listed in the main submission as a public benefit.
